Project Goal: To restore the aquatic life and maintain the recreational uses of the Sheyenne River and its tributaries within Barnes County.
EPA Section 319 awarded $305,200 to implement Best Management Practices to improve water quality along the Sheyenne River corridor. In addition, $326,000 has also been received through grants from the Outdoor Heritage Funds for practice implementation.
The focus is to restore the aquatic uses of the river. Technical and financial assistance is available to those with land in the Sheyenne watershed. Priority is given to those with acreage adjacent to the river.
